PPES News: Office Change

Dear Parents,

I wanted to cue you in on a change you might notice when you visit PPES. As part of our push towards consistent and persistent quality customer service, we are adjusting both our office layout and staffing. First, we are in the process of "hiring" student assistants in 5th and 6th grade to help serve as greeters and basic phone operators. This program is going to be unique and quite important when it gets off the ground in the coming weeks. We have big plans for our new student aides because we have so many helpful and talented students who love to serve.

In further support of this effort, the attendance and records work will be moved to an adjacent office so that Mrs. Haas can work with the enormous amount of data entry that requires a real attention to detail and focus. At another point in the day, Mrs. Romney will also be freed to complete some of the many responsibilities she shoulders, while keeping the school systems running smoothy. Because of the dedicated efforts of Mrs. Freeman and Mrs. Samsill, as well as our upcoming student aides, we believe this setup will help in many ways! We especially appreciate your patience from 8:45-9:15 and 2:30-3:15, daily, whereas these are the times we are often flooded with phone calls and visitors. The office certainly is a busy place!
As always, we are consistently looking for ways to improve with the resources and talent that we have. Luckily, we have a lot of talent! Please know that we will continue to refine what we do to make your experience as positive and productive as possible.

Have a wonderful weekend. Don't forget: Next Wednesday Night is Barnes and Noble Night at Desert Ridge! I hope to see you there!

Mike
