I have a very quick (bordering on a Tweet!) update for you. Mrs. Jena Akard is returning to PPES! But, we will not have an assistant principal this year. She is going to be our half-time reading specialist replacing Mrs. Berman and working mostly with primary students and teachers on interventions and support. We're so happy to have her back! Reading instruction is her first love; she's even National Board Certified in reading.
We have also recommended our new kindergarten teacher. Although she is not officially hired, you might just meet her tomorrow morning....
