PPES News: A Couple of Items

Happy Monday! Here are a few "nuggets" for you this morning...

  • Media Fest was a great district event at Desert Ridge on Saturday! If you happened to be there, I hope you had the opportunity to view our schools submission on one of the televisions. There are a great deal of very innovative things happening across PVUSD. Missed it? There will be a second one at PV Mall, next month.
  • We still don't have a firm date on the solar project install. Kuddos to Mrs. Gerstner and her volunteer team for creatively figuring a way to "work around the work!" It will not have a negative impact on the Festival.
  • That being said, there is no way to sugar-coat the challenges we are going to face during that six week window. Luckily, they are not "serious," challenges, but, they will cause inconvenience and we will need to be patient. The biggest impact will obviously be in the park parking lot, because the 60 or so spots on the west side of the building will be fenced off. More to come on car pooling. But, needless to say, it would be a great reason to let your child walk or ride the bus!
  • If you're wondering why it wasn't done over the summer, it was supposed to be completed before the start of the school year. However, it got held up in the permit process but still needs to be completed by the end of the calendar year.
Remember, this is a short week! But, make it a great one!
